Visible Human Internet Demonstration

WDS Technologies announces in partnership with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and the University Hospital of Geneva the lauching of a spectacular Internet-based interactive demonstration of the Visible Human Project integrating latest medical imaging with advanced parallel storage technologies.

First PC based PACS on CD-R in Switzerland at the "Centre d'Imagerie Diagnostique" in Lausanne

The first PC-based PACS archiving CT and MR images on CD-R has been inaugurated at the Centre d'Imagerie Diagnostique in Lausanne. One Somatom and two Magnetom scanners from Siemens have been connected to a RxPACS server for archiving systematically all studies on CD-R and for review with RxView. The system is fully operational since June 1997 and will be extended very soon to the acquisition of the Ultrasound images.
