The first PC-based PACS archiving CT and MR images on CD-R has been inaugurated at the Centre d'Imagerie Diagnostique in Lausanne. One Somatom and two Magnetom scanners from Siemens have been connected to a RxPACS server for archiving systematically all studies on CD-R and for review with RxView. The system is fully operational since June 1997 and will be extended very soon to the acquisition of the Ultrasound images.
